Text message terms

Last updated 25 September 2026.

Who sends these messages

The licensed insurance agency whose quote page you used. Their name is on that page and in the consent sentence beside its text-message box. Every message comes from them, about your insurance.

What the messages are about

If you agree to texts, the agency may text the mobile number you gave about your insurance: following up on your quote request, sending your quote results, confirming and reminding you of appointments, answering questions you ask, and checking in before your policy renews. Some messages may be sent using automated technology.

The box on the form is optional and never pre-ticked. You may also have agreed to texts out loud on a call with the agency, or, as an existing client, on your signed insurance application; the agency records who noted that agreement and when. If you text the agency’s number first, it may text you back to answer you.

How often

Message frequency varies with your request and how the conversation goes.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Any of STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT works. After that, no more text messages are sent to that number unless you ask for them again.

To start receiving them again, reply START.

How to get help

Reply HELP or INFO to any message. The reply is:

our agency: for help call us back at this number. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.

Consent is not a condition of purchase

You do not have to agree to receive text messages to get a quote or buy insurance. You can still be contacted by phone about the request you submitted.

Delivery

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. How your information is collected, used and kept is set out in the privacy notice.
